Halloween

We had a fun Halloween. Grant was a green dragon and Cole was a skeleton. Grant had skeleton pj's that he wore Halloween night so they could match.

We didn't take Grant trick-or-treating because he doesn't really get it and he would just want to either follow other kids around or run into the street, but our Church does a "trunk-or-treat" activity every year (usually a few days before Halloween) where we have chili and games inside and then the kids trunk-or-treat in the parking lot. Grant had a great time!

Jamie dressed-up as "Chuck" (my dad). He'll probably wear this mustache for the next 5 years!

Grant loved the sucker but not the mustache.

Cole, our cute skeleton.

Grant interrupted the cupcake walk by turning off the music to soon.

The gym had two big trash cans on wheels we were using to clean-up after the chili. I think this was Grant's favorite part of the evening. He loves things he can push or pull and he couldn't decide which trash can he liked to push more.

The adults spread their cars out and decorate their trunks with lights and music and things. Grant wasn't into getting the candy, but loved all the decor and lights.

Sunday night Grant and I carved his pumpkin. I think it turned out really cute.

Grant and Cole Halloween night. We tried to get Grant to pose with Cole but he wasn't having it.

Grant had had enough posing. I guess we should have done this sooner than bedtime!

Grant retaliated by getting into the moss he knows he's not supposed to touch. I guess he showed us!

Visiting the Pumpkin Farm

A few weeks ago we went to get our pumpkin. This is the same farm we went to last year. It's just a few miles from our house and it's great because they have so much stuff for the kids to do and they take you on a hayride to pick out your pumpkin and it's not super busy.

Grant was very excited about the wagon's.

They had a few dogs and cats and then all the fun farm animals like chickens, pigs, cow's and horses.

On the hayride Grant made friends with this family and didn't want to sit with us.

Grant picked out his pumpkin.

This is Grant with our neighbors. Thomas was having fun kissing the cows.

Happy Grant with his pumpkin.

Cole 2-Weeks Old

My friend Courtney came over and took some pictures of me with Cole. I have some great pictures with Grant at the same age and I love having those pictures with him so young.

Grant woke from his nap and wanted in on the fun.

Cole is just as sweet as Grant was. We love our two boys!

Welcome Baby Brother Cole!

Cole Pentz Davenport was born Wednesday, September 22nd at 8:23pm. He was 6 lbs, 10 oz, and 19.5 inches long. He is a full brother to Grant, which is easy to tell because they look so much a like. Here is Cole less than a day old.

Cole in the nursery Friday evening, waiting to go home. He had to stay in the hospital a minimum of 24 hours, and since he was born late in the evening we had to wait until Saturday for the doctor to release him.

Here is our happy family of four in the waiting room at the hospital, just before we headed home.

Here is Cole checking out his home for the first time.

Grant is ready to play with his little brother, but he will have to wait a while.

This is Cole on Sunday, 3 days old. We love you Cole!

San Diego

We had a crazy September. The weekend after Jen's family reunion we traveled to San Diego so that Jamie could attend a mission reunion. He served in Mexico for 2 years. We had too many bags and then Grant so Jamie found a way to get Grant into the hotel and keep him occupied.

Grant had a blast.

We enjoyed a beautiful weekend in San Diego and were able to enjoy some great beach time. I didn't think we'd get in the water so I didn't put Grant's suit on...I was wrong.

Grant spent part of the day in just his diaper. There was a baby completely naked running around so I felt a little bit better about not being prepared.

Grant spent much of the time pushing around his stroller, but he did take a brake one in a while to chase the birds.

Such a busy boy!
