Grant's Room

We have finally got Grant's room ready! We still need to hang some things on the walls, but
other than that we are really happy with the way the room turned out.

I had picked out the flannel before he was born, and the crib and chair were my sis-in-laws. I am really happy with how the rag quilt turned out, and how well everything coordinates. I got lucky finding things I liked that matched well with the room. And the changing table is awesome!!! I think the changing table and bookcase are functional and offer a lot of extra storage.

We hope you enjoyed your tour! :)

My Sunshine

Here is Grant talking to me. I apologize in advance for the terrible singing, I really don't like to hear my voice on tape...but he is just too darn cute! Enjoy at your own risk! :)

Proud to be 2 months old

I couldn't get him to smile without adding the arms in with it. Too funny.

Here is Grant at 2 months old. His check-up was on the 4th and he weighed 11 lbs, 14 oz, and was 22 inches long. He was in the 50th percentile for weight, 20th for height. I was sure we were over feeding him. Some nights he would eat 8-10 oz before going to bed, but he is doing just fine. He hardly ever spits up and what goes in definitely comes out! :) He is smiling and cooing more each day. It's so fun that he is responding to us more. He is a great baby and we love him so much.

1 Month Old

Here is Grant at 1 month old. He was already very alert and had a strong neck. Such a big boy!!!

Mother and Son

My friend Becky emailed me and wanted to come take pictures of Grant and I. He was 2 weeks old and it was so great to have some professional pictures of him so early.

Going Home

After 5 days Grant was considered "perfect" and was able to go home. We were met by friends and family who couldn't wait to welcome him. The love and support was overwhelming!

Stay in the NICU

Grant stayed in the NICU for 5 days letting his lung heal. He had the best care. All the nurses and doctor's were so nice and took such great care of him. We couldn't have asked for more!

Welcome Baby Grant

On Wednesday, June 2nd at 2:14 a.m. this beautiful baby boy was born into the world. Placed with us by loving birth parents who wanted more for their son then they could currently give him, it was love at first sight and we couldn't wait to bring him home. Due to a collapsed lung at birth we had to wait a few days while he re-cooped in the NICU.
